Playgroup is over, and we are going home.......

So, Sophie's doing really well! She's 20 months old now, but she's behaviorally advanced for her age......she's definitely behaving like a 2 year old. lol! She's challenging us constantly, and she's a real firecracker! Developmentally she's running, climbing everything, dancing, spinning, and marching. She loves coloring, painting, saying "no", throwing her water cup, making phone calls to countries unknown, watching creepy Boobah on tv, spending time with her Daddy, splashing around in the bathtub, and taking super long walks in the stroller. Oh, and she loves loves LOVES her shoes. I have to get a picture of her shoes to post!! Best of all, she's so darned happy!!! It rocks to have such a happy kid! Here's a bunch of pictures from Sophie's last session of playgroup. She'll start up with the Spring session in a couple of weeks. I should mention now that you should check out the frou frou hair style Sophie is sporting in most of these pictures. Her beautiful curls are getting a tad voluminous (see last picture for example), and have recently required some taming. So I've gotten in the habit of sticking a couple of piggie tails in her hair during the day. Hey, I never said I was a hair stylist. Look at MY hair, for god's sake!

Two photos of Sophie playing with the "popper". And might I point out the chub on that girl's legs?? She gaining weight!

The slide......Sophie's favorite. She loves just throwing her body down, and laughs when she crashes. All the other kids cry. Those little wusses. (just kidding! lol!)

The kids all gather around a big bowl, and "bake" their own snack. We (the caregivers) are forced to sing verse after verse of "Do you know the muffin man" the whole time. I know, you can't picture me doing that, right? The things I do since we got this kid, I'll tell ya! Notice the girl to Sophie's left dumping a cup full of flour all over herself and Sophie. Too cute!! And the muffins still tasted fine.

Snack time! Everyone sitting and waiting for their muffins, fresh out of the oven. To me, this is the cutest part of the whole class, to see all those cute little cuties sitting around waiting for their food to arrive. As soon as they hear the chairs go out they all sidle over like sheep and argue over who sits where. Too funny.

Sophie reading a book after getting dressed to go home. I haven't been able to sit like that since I was 5 years old.

And finally, a non-playgroup related photo. Here is Sophie eating her first Burger King burger, given to her by Mark. Look how thrilled she is! She loved it! Her father was so proud!

So that should keep those of you who have been asking for updated pictures satisfied for a little while, and I'll post again soon.

Ooooohhhh......It's been way too long!!

Okay, so it's been way too long since I've posted anything here. It's horrible. I feel like such a bad parent. Anyway, here's a quick picture drop of some recent ones. Will catch you all up on what's new with Sophie soon! I promise!

Here's Sophie showing off her new molars. She makes them known by grinding them all the time, too.

Sophie sick on Daddy's lap at around 1 am. Look at Mark. He looks like he's going to fall over dead. lol! And poor little sick Sophie. We should call this picture "I have the poops, and I can't stop coughing".

This photo cracks me up. Here's Sophie standing by the door waiting for me to get ready to go outside. What's so funny is that she has her new purse that she picked out herself at Target, and hung it on her arm like I do with mine. Funny how much she really watches and takes in! She will not leave home without that purse now! And check it out.....if you look closely you can see she put her giraffe in her purse to bring him along too :)

G'nite everyone!

sue :)
